"Like" is a Strong Word

Yipes! I need to update this more often.... This is my attempt to get the wheels turning (again). Below are photos I took of different textures and patterns that I found interesting whilst on a recent road trip out to South Dakota with friends to go rock climbing and then off to Portland, Oregon for a wedding and then back home again. It was a lot of driving. "A lot of driving" is an understatement, but saying, "It was awesome and totally worth it," is also a gross understatement. Enjoy.

i stopped out by a bridge over the river and my instincts told me i was being watched when i got out to take photos. i scanned the woods,

under the bridge, and then something crouching on a branch caught my eye.

so, i had the honor of designing my loverly sister and future brother-in-law's save the dates for their wedding. i love typography! it's so neat to see something go from your idea to an actual printed product. it's one of my favorite aspects of graphic design. now on to the invites!

close-ups of old painting of mine...i think i created this little feller about two years ago on the bottom of a skateboard that i recently discovered my parents were using as a dolly to move furniture. as a designer, i'd have to say i'm quite proud of its beauty AND its functionality.
